Prime Numbers vs. Composite Numbers

PRIME NUMBERS
Prime Numbers can only be divided evenly by one or by itself

For example 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13...23, etc


ALERT: 1 IS NOT A PRIME NUMBER!!!!

1 is not a prime number
2 is the only EVEN PRIME NUMBER
The first prime numbers are: 2, 3,5, 7, 11, 13,17, 19, 23, 29, 31, etc..


COMPOSITE NUMBERS

Composite numbers are the opposite of prime numbers. 

For example:
12 is a composite number because I can divide evenly 12 by 1,2,3,4,6 and 12


14 is a composite number because I can divide evenly 14 by 1,2,7 and 14
